Culver’s Restaurant
Project Scope: New construction of fast food restaurant
Location: West Baraboo, Wisconsin
Designer: Culver’s Corporate
This 4,200-square-foot LEED-certified restaurant is the first Culver’s Restaurant that Friede & Associates constructed. This facility features an attractive exterior façade highlighted with EIFS (exterior insulation finishing system), cultured stone, and contemporary awnings. It is Culver’s first location to focus on energy efficiency and was one of Southern Wisconsin’s first restaurants to be LEED-certified by the U.S. Green Building Council. The project has become a model for future franchises wanting to incorporate sustainable design practices.
Completed in just four months, Friede & Associates’ team members needed to coordinate the construction of the restaurant with two adjacent street repair projects being carried out by the local municipality.
This project was recognized by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin as a 2012 Gold Project of Distinction.
