Kalahari Resort Meeting Room Conversion

Project Scope: Conversion of meeting rooms to guest rooms

This multi-unit renovation project involved converting three meeting rooms into 12 new guest rooms for Kalahari Resort & Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. The demolition phase of the project involved removing all existing finishes and mechanical systems that previously served the meeting rooms and working on adjacent exit corridors. The new wood-framed construction consisted of new walls, ceilings, and doors and installing new plumbing, heating, and electrical systems for the new guest rooms.

Construction was performed while the resort has been open, minimizing the impact on Kalahari employees and guests, creating a unique set of challenges. The Friede team minimized noise, dust, and interruption of normal hotel operations during construction, all while navigating a global pandemic.

This project was recognized by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin as a 2021 Silver Project of Distinction.
