Kalahari Resort Water Slide
Project Scope: Water slide tower replacement
Location: Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin
Designer: Ramaker Architecture + Engineering
The Kalahari Slide Tower replacement project involved the removal of a 45-foot high wood-framed tower structure and the placement of a new, galvanized steel tower. The replacement tower included the installation of completely new treads, stairs, and risers.
The tower, which supported two body slides, one tube ride, and one raft ride, was located in the heart of Kalahari's nearly 300,000-square foot indoor water park, providing limited access for the work to be completed and a challenge for scheduling. The project was completed during a six-week period in the Fall of 2014.
This project was recognized by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin as a 2015 Gold Project of Distinction.
