Redd’s Piano Bar & Double Cut Steakhouse
Project Scope: Restaurant renovation and creation of a new piano bar
Location: 1305 Kalahari Drive, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin
Designer: Knauer Incorporated
The Friede team returned to Kalahari Resort and Convention Center for the renovation of the Double Cut Charcoal Grill & Liquor Bar—a 6,900-square-foot contemporary, yet casual dining spot and watering hole.
Crews removed the existing bar, flooring, and some of the walls within the restaurant. The team then installed a new bar, a wine walkway, and a completely new space for Redd’s Piano Bar—a piano bar and lounge where musicians entertain guests with high-energy performances while mixologists serve up craft cocktails.
The new piano bar features a speakeasy theme with red leather booths and an entry library with vintage books and records. The main entry to Double Cut Charcoal Grill features a 35-foot-long corridor with wine casework on both sides of the hallway where wine bottles are stored from floor to ceiling. Double Cut Charcoal Grill also features a renovated private dining room complete with vines and soft lighting.
Back in 2013, Friede & Associates completed the original Double Cut Charcoal Grill & Liquor Bar for Kalahari Resorts.
Morgan Tribbey served as project manager and Brian Gunder was the project superintendent.
This project was recognized by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin as a 2022 Silver Project of Distinction.
