Ron Kellen, Vice President of Finance & Administration
Ron rejoined Friede & Associates in May of 2017 after previously working for Friede from 2001 through 2006 as Controller. In total, Ron has more than 20 years of experience as a Controller with commercial construction companies. Prior to working as a Controller, he worked in public accounting and was an internal auditor in a publicly held company. Ron has a B.S. in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Wisconsin.
As VP of Finance & Administration, Ron is responsible for the oversight of all accounting and job cost functions, which include payroll; accounts receivable, accounts payable, project management, and job costing; human resources and benefits; information technology; supervision of the administrative staff; relationships with banking, insurance, third-party vendors; and government compliance. He is motivated by the statement “Good enough is not good enough.” He knows contributing to the customer experience involves making sure financial information distributed to customers and vendors is accurate, timely, and useful.
Ron has run six half marathons and has participated in fantasy football for more than 20 years. He likes to attend Broadway plays with his wife, camp, ride bikes, attend sporting events, spend time with his family, and take beach vacations to relax.
