Woodside Sports Complex
Project Scope: New sports complex
Location: Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin
Designer: General Engineering Company
The Woodside Sports Complex project included developing nearly 50 acres, requiring more than 150,000 cubic yards of earth to be moved to create six synthetic soccer/lacrosse fields, four synthetic baseball fields, and a large grass multi-purpose field. As part of the infrastructure for this project, more than 2,000 feet of water main and nearly 6,700 feet of storm sewer would be installed. Construction began on April 5 and the first tournament was held just 14 weeks later on July 18.
This project was recognized by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin as a 2015 Gold Project of Distinction.
